Joseph Taggart, founded Emerald Vale Legal in 2013. Mr. Taggart is known for his personalized approach to working with clients and providing his clients with one-on-one service.
Mr. Taggart’s legal professional experience includes working in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, the Utah Attorney General’s Office, the Disability Law Center, and private law firms. He graduated from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where his classmates’ votes earned him an Outstanding Student award. He also received the Leadership Scholarship three years in a row, and a Pro Bono Certificate for representing those in need. He also graduated with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the University of Utah.
Mr. Taggart believes in serving the community, having served as chairman of the Utah Department of Human Services' Disability Advisory Council, on the West Valley City Professional Standards Review Board, Intermountain Healthcare's Neurological Rehab Mentor Program's Leadership Committee, and is a renowned motivational speaker.
Mr. Taggart grew up in the Salt Lake Valley and appreciates the area’s diverse cultures and values. His six years of studying and working in Europe and South America has provided him a broad perspective that helps him better assist clients. He speaks fluent Portuguese and limited basic Spanish.
